HYCCT1213 Hope is the Thing

I made this for bfinly's HYCCT1213 Hope is the Thing challenge using Emily Dickinson's poem: Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul, and sings the tune without the words, and never stops at all.

I also made one to send to a family friend who loves cardinals.  This will be the Christmas card I send to her.  (Mom, are you reading this???!  ;)  )  I got to thinking about how long we've known them & they were in a church my parents pastored in 1977.   I remember their den & all of the Tupperware stuff they had, because she was a Tupperware lady.  She was in our home recently & she told me that she keeps every single card that my Mom & I send her... YIKES!!!  I better start keeping track so I don't send her a duplicate!

FTTC189 Think Pink

I'm squeaking in this just under the time limit wire!  Eeeks!!!  This week's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge is to create a card using pink.  I'm still working on my scrap box & it doesn't seem like I'm making much progress.  But, anyway, I pulled out a scrap of pink & created my card around it.

Christmas Card Club September


This month (Sept... I'm a day late!), Lydia was the hostess of our Christmas card club.  I didn't get to do her kit justice At. All!!!!!   I had high hopes for getting a jump start on my Christmas cards & being ahead for once... I'm going to have to get a move on, quickly if I'm going to be able to say that they were made ahead of time.  Our kit included the following supplies (all by Stampin' Up!) including:
Images from Winterful Wonderland
Candlelight Designer paper
Snow Festival Tags
Noel Notes laser cut note and scalloped liner
Champagne Glimmer Paper
1/8" Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon, and
Designer Brushed Bronze buttons.
